In the exclusive trip to la Guajira, we will bring you to know the three indigenous communities
(Arhuaco, Wiwa and wayuu) in the caribbean region of Colombia, an experience unique to them
let immerse yourself in the rich history of the cultures and traditions of the peoples
indigenous peoples of the north of the country.
Within the tour also know, share, and experience the beautiful traditions of the
community, we will have a visit to the national park of the flamingos.
It is a journey full of magic and culture, fulfilling the goal of the traveler to have a
the special connection with our mother earth; bringing of the best experiences of
our country and be able to be a part of them.
3 Days and 2 Nights (Community indigenous arhuaco, Wiwa and Wayuu)
DAY 1
We'll start the tour at our office or your place of lodging at approximately
8:00 AM, we will take the road of the trunk about an hour and a half, until
getting to our first destination which is “Jwisingeka” where we will have the exposure of the
COCOA, made by members of the community arhuaco, we will give a brief talk,
we also show you the whole process of the cultivation of the plant, you'll pass finally to the
manufacturing process of chocolate as such, since they have an infrastructure
where they process all the organic material to turn it into chocolate bars of
different flavors.
From there we head off to the community “SEKUMENA” a community of the people WIWA,
located in Jerez to approximately 2 hours for our first stop, we will be
arriving about the middle of the day to the community, where the mamo Welcomes us with a
ceremony at the sacred site, we will give you instructions for our stay there, because,
we will spend our first night here.
After the welcome, we shape our belongings and we moved on to the table for lunch,
to enjoy the gastronomy of the indigenous women of the community, we take
a rest in hammocks; After the break we went to visit a few engraved stones
(sacred) that have been left by our ancestors, the local guide will give us a talk about the
importance of the place and everything that surrounds us, we pass then to the river to appreciate the
majesty of nature and taking advantage to give us a refreshing bath.
Every minute we leverage that to which the stay of the travelers is the best
experiences and can take the largest amount of information, continuing with the
itinerary we will talk of crafts dictated by the indigenous women of the
community where you will make samples as is the process of backpacks or handbags, the
importance and as it is a way to have financial resources to help your family,
then we will continue with the talk in our house ceremonial “huts” where it will be level
more spiritual with MAMO, and travelers will be able to participate.

DAY 2

road to get to Riohacha, capital of la Guajira, where we will go down to lunch, buy
crafts and walking on the beaches to relax a little. From there we continue another hour and
mean more to Salinas de Manaure in the museum of salt-ICHI, where they are waiting for us with a
Welcome cocktail and we will get a tour of the place and the explanation of how the
indigenous wayuu people have been working with this important mineral; we will be around
1-time and again we embark on the final journey to Cabo de la vela, 2 more hours
our air conditioned transportation.
We will be coming to the 5:00 pm and we will check into our hotel, where we will spend the
last night of the tour, before we go to see the sunset at the Lighthouse where we will
majestic sunset, then we have dinner and go to rest in rooms with
bed.
DAY 3
Very early we got up to watch the sunrise from the pilón de azúcar, down
after breakfast between 7:00 am – 8:00 am and then go enjoy the beaches of the
Guajira, relax, and take a tour to take photographs.
Between 9:30 am to 10:00 we will be returning to the city of santa marta, the route is
over 6 hours on the road so that in the sector of the entry of Uribia down to
lunch and continue following the path until you get to the city or to the place of accommodation.
