Itinerary
Day 1
- Pickup from your accommodation, approximately between 7:40 AM and 8:20 AM.
- Departure from our facilities in the Historic Center at approximately 9:00 AM.
- 2 hours in transport until reaching the point where they start the walk in a town called EL MAMEY (Machete Pelao).
- In Mamey, you will have lunch before beginning the hike. At this point, you can purchase beverages for the hike. Restaurants also offer luggage storage, which will not be needed during the Lost City Trek.
- After lunch, we will begin the 8 km hike to reach one of these campsites (Techo Azul, Adan, or Alfredo). The hike will take approximately 3 or 4 hours, depending on the pace of the group.
- Receive recommendations from the guides before beginning the hike.
- Enjoy Colombia's richness and diversity of flora and fauna.
Day 2
- The second day the time to get up will be 05:00 AM to be able to organize your luggage and start with a delicious cup of (Coffee, Chocolate and Tea)
- Breakfast will be at 5:30 AM with typical regional dishes and fruit.
- After a rich breakfast at 6:00 AM you will start with an 8 kilometer walk until you reach the camp. Wiwa o Mumacke where they will have lunch and take a nap of approximately 2 hours.
- During nap time, you'll enjoy a refreshing swim in the BURITACA RIVER
- At 11:30 AM, we'll have lunch.
- You'll have a 30-minute nap.
- After lunch, we begin a further 8-kilometer hike to reach the final campsite, which is near the Lost City (Paso Lorenzo or Paraiso).
- With 4 or 5 hourS hikes, in the afternoon you will reach the point where you will spend the night and rest to recharge your batteries for the next day. Reaching a height of 900 meters above sea level Near the Lost City.
- At 6:00 pm, you will have dinner, followed by a brief talk about the Lost City.
Day 3
- Beginning the third day, you will wake up at 5:00 AM to continue your experiences.
- After breakfast you will start with a 1 kilometer walk to reach a large LOST CITY
- With your guide, you will take a tour of the Sacred City for approximately 2 hours, visiting various terraces and important sites that belonged to the Tayrona civilization.
- After enjoying this beautiful place, which is so important to the indigenous communities, you will begin the descent back to the camp where you spent the night, where you will have lunch.
- At 12:00 PM, you will begin an 8-kilometer hike to reach the camp where you will spend the third and final night of the tour.
- Arriving at the Mumacke or Wiwa camp after a 3 or 4 hours hike, you will arrive at your resting place.
- They will have dinner at 6:00 pm, and after dinner they will have time to rest and recharge their batteries for the next day.
Day 4
- On the last day you will start with a delicious breakfast at 5:30 AM and get ready to continue the hike.
- At 6:00 AM, you'll begin a 5 to 6 hours hike to reach the starting point of the MAMEY

DIA 4
- Tomarás un delicioso desayuno a las 05:30 am, para salir del campamento a las 06:00 am.

- Harás una caminata de aproximadamente 8 km, Disfrutando de unas hermosas vistas hacia las Montañas de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
- Después de una larga caminata llegamos al lugar donde empieza la caminata, El Mamey.
- Arrival in Santa Marta approximately 4:00 PM.

We had an incredible Experience with WIWA to the Lost City!! It was organised very well, with enough time for breaks when hiking, time to rest in the evenings and information from the guides! A nice amount of time was spent in the lost city and learning about the indigenous tribes!! The food and beds were good and the English translator (Cat) was brilliant!
